I'm not a huge tech-death fan, but this album definitely hits the spot for me in a way most others don't. I love the atmosphere through this album and everything from the drums to vocals just mesh perfectly.
A simply amazing record with beautiful technical elements and ethereal instrumental sections. It is excellently structured, and what I may consider as my favorite album of the year.
Favorite track: Clockwork.
Clockwork is one of those uncommon albums where the cover art matches the music perfectly. The music is bombastic and crushing, and echoes of ‘90s prog-death acts like Atheist and Death are audible here. The music is incredibly tight and technical, and the riffs are expertly contrasted with airy synth pads and moments of clean, cosmic sounds.

Okay, so Dim and Slimeridden Kingdoms was an album I really enjoyed a lot, but Esoteric Malacology is a whole new level. Front to back, this record is brimming with creativity and unpredictability. I've had it on constant repeat for like the last 3 days and still can't really pick a favourite. Like everything on this record, from the progressing and constantly evolving Riffs to the phat drums and thicc production is basically perfect for me. Absolutely amazing. Hail Slugdge, and hail memes. David Fischer
